Director Tony White becomes a 60 Minute Mentor at King Edmund School

Tony White, the Director of Priority Support Services, agreed to become a mentor to Year 8 students in local schools and the 60 Minute Mentor program commenced this morning.

The project, in association with Southend Borough Council, will provide vital support and guidance for young people in year 8, specifically those at risk of disengagement.

Tony comments below about his first sessions as a 60 minute mentor.

I attended the first group session as mentor to my group of 11 year 8 students at King Edmunds School Rochford, thoroughly enjoyed it and looking forward to the next seven months mentoring these young adults. I'm certain I'll learn a lot about myself and them as individuals during this very worthwhile and rewarding mentoring program.

Tony will also be attending the Networking Essex event in the Centre Circle Lounge at Roots Hall for the home fixture against Scunthorpe United, mixing cheering on the Shrimpers with networking!
