Friday, 20th March 2020 - Update

Dear Colleagues,

I have purposely waited until today to write to you as the government advice as to how we lead of lives is changing daily.

The current situation is unprecedented in our lifetime like you I am are very concerned for my family, and friends of which I include everyone in receipt of this letter.

Now the virus is in the community It is more important than ever for all of us to continue to wash our hands as much as possible throughout the day, most importantly after touching any surface within reason but especially before eating and avoid touching our faces eyes, nose, and mouth. We need to be sensible about socializing and maintain distance when out and about, taking a sensible approach doesn't need to be overreacting such as is being seen of late in our supermarkets, etc.

I am a firm believer in what we are being told by the government is the correct approach to fight this virus, it’s unprecedented hence why the government is updating us daily. We all need to work together and help and support those within our neighborhoods and social circles who may not be able to help themselves.

As a company we have been hit hard like most businesses throughout the UK, we have staff members self-isolating, we have clients who have closed their doors for the foreseeable future, however, the majority of clients are continuing with business and requesting even more support from us which we will continue to provide.

Last weekend I sent you all a text stating how proud I was of this company and everyone in it and our continued ability to deliver the services our clients have come to expect, I stand by those comments today and would to thank you all again for your hard work and commitment.

Some of you have already seen their jobs affected by client closures, I fully understand everyone is concerned about their job security at this time and want as much as possible to help put minds at ease. I have every confidence that we as a company will come through this national crisis stronger and better equipped than before and that those clients who have temporarily closed their doors will reopen for business and when they do we will be ready to ensure their premises are clean and ready for business.

Therefore I would like to ask each of you to keep this office fully updated as to your own situation if your daytime or evening employer differs from us and you have time available due to being temporarily being laid off then let us know, if due to our own clients closing we have had to do the same but you have alternative availability let us know. We are coordinating work schedules and unless you advise us otherwise you could well be losing out as to alternative opportunities within the company. All we would request in return is patience and flexibility, we will have opportunities coming up but may need your support if not on your immediate doorstep hence we all need to pull together, for those of you who have worked elsewhere within the company you will know that where possible transport will be provided. If not available, then if possible and if viable we will help where we can.

Finally, I would just like to remind you all as to the advice being given by the government.

If you display either or both of the following persistent dry cough / high-temperature fever You will need to self-isolate for 7 days. If anyone within your household displays either or both symptoms, then the whole household will need to self-isolate for 14 days.

Please notify this office should either of the above scenarios become apparent and whilst self-isolating advise us as to your ongoing health and if any additional support is required or if you require us to contact anyone on your behalf.

I will be updating you all on a weekly basis whilst this national crisis continues.

Take care and stay safe,

Tony
